For taking the time to give your feedback and opinions you can earn cash incentives ranging from $75.00 - $300.00+ depending upon the study. Market research is the process of systematically gathering, recording and analyzing data and information about customers, competitors and the market.
A focus group is a private round table discussion in which participants, known as respondents, share their opinions with a moderator.
Respondents are eligible to do studies on different subjects, but unless they are called back for further information, they are not eligible to do more than one study on a particular subject.
Companies of all kinds gather information about consumer and professional likes and dislikes. As do health care providers, new technology designers, school systems, social media companies, the entertainment industry and many others. The information gathered shapes development of every kind of product and service.
Sometimes they are conducted on the phone. But when a group interaction is required, groups are held in a focus group facility in cities around the U.S and the world. There, conference rooms are connected to observation rooms by a two-way mirror so that researchers can observe the respondent’s words and actions. Facilities also offer services that might include focus group recruiting, food for participants, competitive product samples, and/or session videotaping.
A respondent is a person who participants in a focus group or a market research study. In return for taking the time to participate and for giving his or her opinions or feedback a respondent is paid an incentive. This incentive is determined before the research begins and is usually paid in cash or by check after the research is completed.
The short phrase for an in-depth interview
The trained professional, appointed by the client, that leads the focus group.
Upon completion of the study, respondents can receive a check in the mail a few days later, but are often paid on the spot.
